Prohibited Items

Prohibited goods and ads

Prohibited goods

The goods listed are prohibited on the site. Advertising these goods and purchasing them through the site are both prohibited. We ban advertisers who advertise these goods and anyone who responds to them through private messages or replies. Please note that there is no warning before a ban, and the ban is final and not open to discussion.

The prohibited goods are:
  • All goods prohibited under the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  • Installment sales and banking products. These are prohibited even if considered Sharia-compliant.
  • Medicines and medical and health products. These are prohibited even if permitted under Ministry of Health regulations or recommended by the ministry.
  • Network marketing. Any type of network marketing is strictly prohibited, regardless of its type, nature or method.
  • Weapons, including stun guns, pistols, machine guns, personal protection weapons and their accessories, even if licensed.
  • Sexual products in all forms and types.
  • Shares, portfolio management, currencies, their marketing and everything related to them.
  • Laser devices and spying and eavesdropping devices.
  • Websites, forums, electronic services, email accounts, and the sale of memberships and software.
  • Selling any free item, such as email accounts and Twitter or Instagram accounts, among others.
  • Goods that infringe intellectual property rights, such as copied software and copied films.
  • Tobacco products
  • Advertising products or services requiring a license without obtaining it from the regulatory authority.
  • Prohibited devices, such as jamming, encryption or mobile signal boosting devices.
  • Devices posing security risks.
  • Advertising SIM cards or telecommunications services without obtaining the necessary licenses and uploading them to the licensing system on the site.

Prohibited ads

The following list includes most advertising methods and practices prohibited on the site:
  • All ads unrelated to buying and selling.
  • Posting discussion topics on the site.
  • Advertising to make a suggestion or discuss a problem with site management. Ads are for buying and selling only. Posting suggestions for developing the site among listings harms other advertisers’ ads. The best way to make a suggestion or complaint is to contact us through the Contact Us form.
  • Ads with incomplete details.
  • Poor-quality ads.
  • Poor communication by the advertiser with members interested in the item offered. For example, advertising a car for sale and then not answering calls or private messages.
  • Advertising in the wrong category. For example, posting a request for a car among items for sale, selling furniture in the car marketplace category, or advertising a Jeep Cherokee for sale in the Ford category.
  • Posting an ad while you have another banned account. You must first discuss the ban with us before posting any new ad.
  • Adding a photo that is not of the actual item when the item is a car, even for illustration.
  • Adding photos of an item other than the one offered. For example, advertising a used mobile phone and showing a photo of another used phone of the same type.
  • Any ad containing any reference to racism in any form.
  • Any ad containing incorrect information, whether intentional or unintentional. For example, advertising a car as accident-free and later finding that it has been in an accident. Advertisers must only add information about an item that they are certain of.
  • Posting an ad to defame someone. If you have a complaint against an advertiser on our site, please contact us and explain the problem. If you have a problem with an entity unrelated to us, please complain to the authority responsible.
  • Using an ad title that contradicts its content. For example, writing “Camry 2011” in the title but requesting a Camry 2011 in the ad. A visitor seeing the title will believe there is a Camry 2011 for sale.
  • Copying another advertiser’s ad or part of it.
  • General ads that do not identify a specific item, such as “We have land for sale” or “We have cars for sale in our showroom.” The correct approach is to advertise the item itself, for example a plot of a specified area in a specified neighborhood in Riyadh, or a car of a specified model.
  • Donation ads and requests for help. State regulations prohibit donations and charitable activity outside the legal framework designated for them.
  • Ads for contributions and subscriptions.
  • Begging and helping beggars. We ban members who help beggars on the site.
  • Requesting personal influence or assistance, whether lawful or unlawful. The site is for goods only.
  • Ads involving abuse of authority.
  • Advertising in replies.

Prohibited replies

The following list includes most prohibited replies:
  • Advertising in replies.
  • Disparaging the value of goods.
  • Insults and abusive language, whether justified or not.
  • Lack of seriousness and lack of intent to buy.
  • Commenting to add a joke, story or news. The site is for buying and selling only.
  • Mocking the item or advertiser.

Prohibited private messages
